hi all!

Have anyone noticed references in Mahoromatic to other shows/movies/wathever?
At the moment i can remember 2, both in the episode of the martial arts tournament.
- at the fighting scene of Mahoro vs Ms. Shikijo, im 99% sure that music from pulp fiction starts playing (Misirlou)
- when the tournament ends and mahoro is named champion, we can hear music from Rocky, furthermore, while Mahoro is being cheered up, she is screaming ''Adrian'', wich is the name of Rocky's wife.

please correct me if i maded a mistake and forgive my english

I can't remember which episode, but at one point someone is imagining what he would have thought a gynoid would look like and imagined a female version of Tetsujin 28 (known in the English-language version as Gigantor). That's the only other one I noticed.

EDIT: The episode with the Mahoro-Gigantor was season one, episode 10.

Also in the martial arts tournament episode, the name Ms. Shikijou gives her fighting style--Fist of the Nude Star--could be construed as a reference to Fist of the North Star.

In season 2 episode 6, Chizuko's attempt at identifying Mahoro's curry is accompanied by altered versions of the themes to Mission Impossible and ET.
