I have to agree with you on that. Although I prefer more "cheery" anime, I have to tip my hat to Evangelion. The feelings are so strong, and the concept of angels wanting to destroy mankind is good material for AMV's (did I mention that earlier?). Anyway I have developed a slight liking for angst... Like hearing over and over again one part of some evangelion thing or other: "Sei wa shi no hajimari. (Birth is the beginning of death) Shi wa genjitsu no tsuzuki. (Death is the continuation of reality) Soshite, saisei wa yume no owari. (And then, rebirth is the end of dream) (lots of whispering) Watashi no koto suki? (Do you like me) Hohoemi wa itsuwari. (Smile is a lie) Shinjitsu wa itami. (The truth hurts) Tokeau kokoro wa watashi o kowasu. (The hearts melting together break me down)" I just couldn't help feeling a cold hand squeeze my heart... And now I'm addicted to angst. Maybe you can't quite understand the angsty part of that there, but if you'd hear the voices... *shivers* [fade]If you'd only hear the voices I hear..........................[/fade]
