MahoromaticRevival.com
« le: 09 décembre 2006 à 06:56:29 »

I figured I may as well post this here, as not many of the search engines I've submitted it to have added it yet, and the site's been up since December 4th. I originally didn't want to say anything because I wanted to see how much traffic the site would get purely from search engine results, but, without search engines there can be no results. XD

Basically, it's been my goal for a long time to try to contact GAINAX about Mahoromatic's ending and see if there's any chance of them redoing the conclusion, and if not, as I am an amateur animator myself, to get a team of other qualified people and animate a new ending myself that hopefully I can at least get sanctioned as second- or third-tier canon. I had been thinking about making a website for a while to see if there were actually enough people who felt Mahoromatic's ending should be changed that GAINAX would consider the matter... considerable... and that is the purpose of this website.

The Mahoromatic Revival Project

Currently the whole website is up except for the "Ending Analysis" section, and I am currently animating a Flash intro.

P.S. Dr. Memory, I mentioned your fanfiction a couple of times on the website. I hope that's okay with you!

I had the opportunity to look at your website and I really like the concept.

I'm not so certain about the idea of redoing the ending of the series.  It then becomes much like the ending of "Eva".  People will still remember the original ending.  In the end it might be better to leave things as they are, but use elements of the existing story to carry on with a new story (much like I did with New Beginnings).  There is enough openings in the existing story line to take the story in several different directions that would not be as depressing as the existing ending.

Even the ending of the Manga is more palitable.  At least Mahoro dies for a noble reason and Suguru developes into the character he does not because he feels betrayed by Mahoro, but to avenge her death.

There are also other mechanisms that could be used to re-unite Mahoro and Suguru that don't require twenty years to happen.

Please feel free to use my name or references to either story.

Thanks for the response. Keep in mind that Eva's endings that have been done thus far are considered by most people to be concurrent; the movie simply shows more information while the TV version's ending was more abstract and simply showed the psychological analysis of the characters that Instrumentality brought upon them. Now, since they're doing ANOTHER ending what with Rebuild of Evangelion and all... well, we'll have to wait and see. XD

Like I said, the goal isn't to decanonize the original ending. It's to create a new ending that can also be accepted in lieu of the original one.

Edit: Oh! I didn't mean to just redo the ending of the series to make it with a better script and budget, I mean an alternate ending that has a different outcome.
